Manmadhan ambu releases today
Ace actor Kamal Hassan's much-awaited movie Manmadhan Ambu is hitting the screens with 700 prints across the globe on Thursday. In Chennai alone, it is reportedly being released in 24 screens.
According to latest reports, the tickets for this weekend have been sold out. Sources have also claimed that there is a huge demand for tickets till January first week due to Christmas and New Year holidays. Producers may increase the number of prints depending upon audience's response, say sources.

Makers of 'Tees Maar Khan' undeterred with U/A certificate
"It's okay, my 'Main Hoon Naa' and 'Om Shanti Om' were also U/A because while the former had an Army angle to it, the latter was considered a little too dramatic for kids. No worries, I am sure parents would be happy to bring their kids along for 'Tees Maar Khan'", says Farah while trying to keep her chin up.
'Tees Maar Khan' releases all over next Friday with a US and UK release a couple of days earlier.

Gauri Khan's presence at Sohail Khan's birthday bash last night made everyone around wonder if SRK and Salman would finally bury the hatchet and call it a truce.
After their infamous spat at Katrina Kaif's birthday bash few years back, Shah Rukh and Salman went their separate ways. The two couldn't hide the tiff and awkwardness brewing between them ever since the incident happened. Even at occasions when they did face each other the two looked through each

Shah Rukh even said he'd like to watch Dabangg in a press conference which was an indirect compliment to Salman. Salman too reciprocated by saying he'd want everybody to watch his film including Shah Rukh.
Just recently when Shah Rukh paid an impromptu visit on the sets of dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Ja to meet Madhuri Dixit, he hugged Malaika Arora Khan to everyone's surprise!
Backing her husband's friendly gesture was Gauri who too turned up last night for Salman's brother Sohail Khan's birthday bash.
"Salman and his entire family were present. When Gauri entered there were these whispers here and there on how will Salman take her presence. Fortunately everything went well. Malaika is close to Shah Rukh and Gauri and apparently it was her decision to invite Gauri to the bash," revealed a source present at the venue.

'Mine is an arranged marriage' says Bunny:DC
The unforeseen strike in Tollywood has given some much needed time to stars to catch up with their family and friends and go through some scripts. However, Allu Arjun seems to be preoccupied with something different; his marriage.
“My parents are taking care of all the arrangements,” says the actor who is on a shopping spree for the D-day. “I may pick up a couple of suits from abroad. Other than that, we’ll procure most of the traditional stuff in Hyderabad. My special wedding attire will be done by a designer from Delhi. The date has been fixed for March 6,” he adds. He also clears the air about rumours that he had been courting Sneha Reddy for long before getting the blessings from their parents. “It’s just media speculation. Mine is an arranged marriage, no two ways about it. We happened to meet through common friends and later interacted at private parties hosted by our pals. Soon, we began to share a few thoughts,” he says.
So the onscreen lover boy was floored by the soft-spoken Sneha Reddy in just three months flat? “That’s right,” he chuckles. Has he chosen a honeymoon spot yet? “Nothing yet since I have to join the shooting of Badrinath post-marriage. But since these are special moments of our lives, I’ll definitely spare a week for it,” he adds.On the professional front, he is graduating from “lover boy” roles to a “larger-than-life” role with Badrinath. “It is time I explored strong roles,” he says. To play the role of a warrior, he has grown his hair long and has also toned up his physique. “I can’t divulge more, except that I’ll be seen in a new avatar,” he says.
Apparently, with this big budget extravaganza, he is joining the Rs 30-crore star club that includes Mahesh, Pawan and Ram Charan. “The subject should justify the budget and not the other way round,” he says.
But hasn’t T-town suffered due to lavish productions bombing at the box office this year? “More than the content, the films were considered flops because they couldn’t recover their huge investments,” he reasons. Though he feels that the production cost should be reined in, he doesn’t blame it on huge remunerations of superstars. “Stars’ pay packets are fixed, though schedules get extended. The problem lies in the day-to-day production costs and bad planning could cost a producer more than the day’s allotment,” reasons he.
With K-town stars like Rajinikanth, Vikram and Surya swaying the Telugu audience, our reigning Telugu star is set to return the favour with Badrinath. “I’d like to attract a Tamil audience and gradually expand our base to create a dual market for Telugu stars. Earlier, Nagarjuna had big hits in Tamil like Shiva and Gitanjali but he didn’t really push it hard,” he says.
But he has proved that Telugu actors can take on the likes of Mohan Lal and Mamootty, with the success of Arya 2 in Mollywood. “I met some Malayalam actors and filmmakers and they insisted that I do a Malayalam film,” he points out.
On being selective about brand endorsements, he says “I’d like to endorse products that I use regularly and also prefer brands that suit my personality,” he informs. Isn’t he wary about losing his female fan following with his marriage? “Fans relate only to my onscreen image, so no big worries and haven’t hunks got married world over?” he laughs.

Simbu has got injured in Vaanam Shooting spot
Silambarasan aka STR , has hurt himself in chennai where they were shooting for Vaanam. It happened when STR who was supposed to drive the bike fitted with a Camera in front of it lost the balance and sled to one side making it hard for STR to control the bike crashing him down with full force. It happened in a busy road and the entire crew where shocked for a moment, as the shot was taken in live traffic.STR with his quick presence of mind crawled to the pedestrian, avoiding the car that was racing behind him. He has injured his legs and hands and was treated for bruises and cut wounds.
Later STR was driven back home and asked to take rest. Hearing on their Hero who was injured, Fans thronged his house at Tnagar which led to few drastic scenes, when STR came out and conveyed the message that he his doing better and he his tired and he needs to take rest. Hearing STR's voice and him physically speaking the Fans wished him a speedy recovery and went back home.
“I think it is re-birth for me, and I was literally shaken up for a second",says STR.

Ranbir Kapoor voted Sexiest Asian Man
The 'Rockstar' of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor has clinched the 'Sexiest Asian Man' title, beating off competition from favourites like John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan.The Kapoor scion famous for his high-profile romances topped the survey conducted by the London weekly, Eastern Eye.
"If the women didn't like me I would feel that something is going wrong, but it feels good. I do understand that the fans I have comprise mainly of women, it feels good to be wanted by so many women," said the 28-year-old actor.
Meanwhile, Eastern Eye showbiz editor Asjad Nazir, said that the actor claimed the title with a overwhelming margin.
"Usually it is a closely fought contest, where as this year there was one very clear winner. Winning by a large margin is remarkable when you consider the very high profile men who are in the list," said Asjad.
Ranbir, who made his acting debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's mega-budget film 'Saanwariya' has been going strong since his launch and has tasted commercial as well as critical success with films like 'Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani', 'Wake Up Sid' and 'Rajneeti'.
Bollywood hunk John Abraham narrowly missed out on the top spot by finishing second. Hrithik Roshan occupied the third spot while R&B star Jay Sean and Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar bagged the fourth and fifth spots.
Others to make it to the top ten included world champion boxer Amir Khan and the highest places new entry is 'X-Factor' finalist Zain Malik.
Recently, Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif, rumoured to be romantically involved with Ranbir topped the Eastern Eye's list of the hottest women in the world, beating off competition from her contemporaries like Freida Pinto and Priyanka Chopra.

Deepika to rock the floors in ‘Dum maro dum’
In the upcoming film of Abhishek bachchan ‘Dum maro dum’ ,actress Deepika Padukone will be performing an item song.
It will the first item number of deepika. Film dum maro dum has abhishek and bipasha in the lead role. Its not bips, but Deepika who was selected for the song. The song will be a promotional number.
Deepika wasn’t even in talks with Rohan regarding the ‘Dum Maro Dum’ item song. Rohan Sippy was considering other names then Deepika was suggested. She was selected unanimously.
The song will be a scintillating item number having have a contemporary and extremely urban feel in it competing malaika arora's munni padnam(Dabangg) & katrina's sheila(tees maar khan). Pritam is remixing the song. The song will be shot next week.
Dum maro dum is a remake of Amitabh’s famous zanzeer film. Rohan sippy is the director of the film. Its a 2011 release.
